The Laura Southwick Foundation was organized to honor the memory of a young shoe designer who died tragically at age 33 while on a business trip in China.
The foundation will make annual awards to encourage high school age students who are interested in the applied or fine arts so that they might begin to discover their own style and start to shape their aspirations. A preference will be given to young people who are interested in the applied arts of fashion design, graphic design, photography, creative writing, comedy and performance.
